Are networks still interested in reality shows? Yes, but the bar has been raised. A certain sameness has taken over many of the reality shows and the ratings are reflecting that. Variations on the dating elimination format won't get pitched.

Which brings us back to basics: truly fresh, creative ideas are always hot and always hard to dream up. As the saying goes, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
